Hi saw a post dated 2017 about a broken sliding screen door that had a pop riveted unit and I’m just wondering if anyone managed to open and fix one my sliding door seems to have a broken cord on the bottom of the unit any help would be greatly appreciated
Regards Padraig

Hi and welcome.

If its like the sliding door fly screens with a cord at 3 or 4 points then if you can remove the screen then it is likely you'll be able to replace the cord.
I did our fly screen door when the cord broke.
If you are going to do it do not remove the cord until you know exactly how it is threaded through, also watch out for the small springs at the ends of the cord.

This previous thread might help:

If your screen is riveted at the corners, only remove the side rivets. The bottom and top rivets (nearest the door opening) are used as a fulcrum point, prior to the strings terminating at an adjustable anchor block in the top & bottom runners.
