Dose anyone else have that problem
Is there a cure for my problem I have yet again packed in smoking and I am on the patches

We ...Including Blue the dog all sleep better and longer in the van than we do at home. I think part of it is the black out blinds make the van darker so daylight doesn't waken us up so early. Plus the noise of the rain helps put us to sleep relaxed. (y)

I sleep better in the van too - but that may be down to my alcohol intake increasing 3 fold !! :wine:

I always sleep better in the van. I put it down to more fresh air and exercise and being more relaxed because I'm not at work.

I've suffered some broken ribs recently & the motorhome is the only place I can sleep. I'm also pestered by hip pain as I await a replacement & the motorhome is where I make for at night. Its saves Hazel from being pestered by me turning over & over in bed. My mutt loves it too as she's allowed to sleep on the motorhome bed lol.

I sleep better in our van. What isn't there to prefer? Toilet almost beside the bed, you can get a beer out of the fridge without getting out of bed, blackout curtains that work, decent view out of the bedroom window, no landline phones, no expectation from people that I am available at a moment's notice

Slowly reduce the patches.
Go for a walk in the evening.
Stay off the computer after 8pm.
Eat more lettuce.
Have a milky drink before bed.
Good luck!

Inulin powder in your bedtime drink and brew/drink your own kefir = markedly improved sleep.

Always slept better in the motorhome. My sleep is awful now.
Can only suggest making your bedroom as dark as possible.
Don't use screen in the evening ( my downfall, I think)
I have a free App called Relax Melodies. Can put a timer on it, choose up to 3 different sounds from nearly 50. Will send you off to sleep. There are some free relaxation meditations on it too.
Until I became ill, I didn't realise how important proper sleep is. Lots of hormones and chemical reactions take place during different stages of sleep. Miss those on a long term basis and you begin to notice the depletion :(

Another who sleeps far better in the van :)

No idea why though - I pretty much do exactly the same when in the van as at home (including work wise). Probably just more relaxed as prefer the van - can't wait to go full-time :)

I have found essential oils work for me these days. I use a blend of them on the soles of my feet. Diffuse them as well in the room. :)

Yes,agree. Lavender oil in the bath is very relaxing, makes you sleep like a baby.
Also,I do find that watching a comedy prog on telly before retiring to my pit helps......certainly better than watching the news which is seldom relaxing! Why go to bed just after you've been watching war, hunger, murder and lying politicians, certainly not a good idea!
