Hello there.

I've discovered I have a poor seal around the bathroom sink, basically it lifts out from its enclosure. There are some blobs of sealant in four different places that have lost their 'tacky and sealing' properties and are really doing nothing. There is no rubber seal or gasket that goes around the edge of the sink so the solution is a sealant/mastic that can be applied all around the circumference that can be removed in the future for repairs/maintenance.

Any suggestions as to what to use ?

Thanks.

Hi there a photo might help some sinks do not have seals, some are held own with lugs and screw fixings, some aren't really fixed but are held down by weight and the drain hose.

IF you do not have any of those then clean off the existing mastic and use flexible one to grip

Thank you for your reply. I think mines held down by weight and the drain hose, there are no other fittings.

I suppose I can use any bathroom sealant with an application gun

From experience... plenty of application practice first. Watching a professional applying mastic with beautiful results, contrasts with my own. Removing surplus 'slips' can be difficult.

Thanks for the advice. I'll have plenty of time on my hands now that we're grounded from travelling
