changing a load of things again
Hi,
starting to think what sealant to use on the 3mm sheet for the walls of the shower which to stick to walls and which to seal the corners. I never seem to have the best results with STD Silicon form B&Q.

Thanks
Billy

Too much ground to cover here. Silicon is a sealant and shouldn't be used as an adhesive.

If you are talking about sheets of plastic to stick to wood or similar I used a contact adhesive then used silicon to seal the corners like you would do in a normal shower.

But if it is not plastic sheets then it might need a different adhesive, maybe ask the supplier of the sheets what they recommend?

Do you have any more details and I may be able to suggest more?

Sikaflex is probably not a good idea for a shower either for the walls or for sealing corners.

I have used Stixall on plastic panels successfully.
Adhesive and sealant in one.

B&Q do an evostick ultimate pro. Its about £9 a tube. You can get it from other outlets. Its waterproof and is suitable for this application for the bonding

Amazon product ASIN B01M34YUQ6
Any good high modulus silicon will do for the sealing/edges. There are some that will do both but then I think you compromise as the two purposes are not the same

If just for sealing in the corners then this has been recommended to me.
