Has anyone changed the amber side marker lights on their Burstner? I need to change two on my Nexxo.

I have the same problem on a t665, been trying to get at the bulb by the garage door without success!

Hope you get a reply for both our sakes.

do you mean these

if so yes but in both cases i had to pull the wiring through as far as i could and cut and fit new connectors leaving just enough of the new wire to make it easier next time.

Yes, dead easy. Remove the screw and gently pull, I’ve change 3 and managed to find the connecter’s on all 3. The last one I changed was a bugger to pull the wires through, when I finally got them out they were covered in mastic i assume from when it was built.

Thanks Gents, I will investigate further tomorrow.

When ours went I found the proper replacements to be stupidly expensive
I bought some yellow LED bulbs on Ebay, removed the sidelight drilled though the back and pushed in the LED,spliced the wires and they work fine

Thanks everyone for replying. Not been back on since I posted the question.
Dealer quoted £170 hence my wish for diy.

So that's £10 each ...............my LEDS were £1 each.
Sometime the replacements do not fit exactly and leave the marks of the old lights.
My old lights just go back in place

there are different sizes available !!! to fit your existing mounting holes. I guess it depends on how you want to fix the problem. .
I have done similar to you with other lEDs but found that the side markers do have a tendency to degrade in the sun so discolour / crack / crumble.
as i said above we all have a choice on how we choose to maintain our very expensive toys.

if its similar to our burstner the wiring is easily accessible from underneath just stapled to the floor in what appears to be bell wire

Unfortunately, I don't appear to be having much success so far..

Cutting the wires appears to be only option but before I commit to that I want a' replacement' side light in hand. So will persue that before doing anything drastic.

PS My Nexxo t665 was one the last batch made by Burstner and built without any 'Dealer orders' to cover them and subsequently offered on a 'Sale or Return basis' by Burstner GMBH who are listed as the first owners. I'm led to believe only four units were allocated to French dealers.

So far done 20k, and touch wood, this my first problem to date.

Just an update on this one. I finally got round to buying some new lights. However on my model, you cannot access the wiring from below as there is a floor below the level of the lights. I did manage to pull enough wire through to cut of the old lamp and attach the new one.
