Still learning since 2010
After fitting a Thetford electric vent in the MH today I went for the big test only to find there was no water from the flush and all was quiet from the normally noisy pump. Tried the kitchen tap with the same result, no water. Checked the fuse, which was fine, so decided to have a look at the pump, as Autotrail have mounted it in a vulnerable position under the bed. I thought something might have been dislodged by all the cr, sorry, useful stuff stored under the bed.
Sure enough, a connector had come adrift, so no power. Unfortunately it had snapped off the lug from the switch at the base of the pump. I think this is the shut off valve, or non-return valve to stop the water draining back to the tank.
Not wanting to buy a new pump at vast expense for the sake of a few pence worth of switch could anyone tell me if they are available to buy ?
I know a while ago Techno had dealings with a noisy pump which he cured with an accumulator and was wondering if he could tell me a parts supplier.
All advice gratefully received.

And now the pictures part.

That's the size of the thing

I'm sure i have seen lots of micro switches like that on other 'stuff' - which makes me think they are pretty common.

have you tried searching on ebay/google etc - it might take a while ...

Looks like a pretty standard microswitch to me, in days of old, Maplins would have dozens of them, try RS components or Farnells if they are still going, CPC may be another one but probably out of business now.
I retired a number of years back and dont follow my old industry at all now. Ebay of course!

use any markings on the switch to search, ie voltage, amps or even manufacturer?

v-15-2c26-k micro switch - loads shown on google search !!

Broken Link Removed

Yes easy to get online using the info off the switch. Here you can get them in most ferreterias , a couple of euros. Not a lot of use to you at present though. :giggle:

a connector had come adrift, so no power.
so the way im reading your post indicates its just the connector to the fitting on the switch which has come adrift.. the switch looks fine from your photos but I appreciate it could be faulty..
so what im asking is ....what is the problem.. is the switch faulty or is it just the connector to the switch thats broken off the wire..
ill include a link to a strip down of a pump I did a while ago...

It should have two connectors but one has snapped off, so there is nothing to connect the wire to.
What I need is a new switch and with the very helpful replies I've had I will be able to get one and get the pump back up and running.

an easy way to clean away the limescale is a little bit of warmed up white vinegar

the 3 terminal version is mechanically the same, you just use 2 terminals

Thanks everyone for your help. From the info I've had I will be back in business soon and able to go away for long holidays in the drive.

There are three versions of this switch, V-15-2C26-K.

The SPST-NC version has two terminals, and is ON when the button is NOT pressed, OFF when pressed.
The SPST-NO version has two terminals, and is OFF when the button is NOT pressed, ON when pressed.
The SPST version has three terminals, and switches the COM terminal from the NC to NO terminal when the button is pressed.

SPST = Single Pole Single Throw, NC = Normally Closed, NO =Normally Open.

I'd guess you want the SPST-NC version, but the three terminal version will do, as long as the extra terminal fits in the space.

Thank you for that info.
I’m guessing that the F3 prefix will tell me which version it is, but of course I could be completely wrong, as usual.

Thanks to all who helped.
I have sourced a switch via ebay and it is on its way.
Should be up and running next week.
