So in our van build i am re using an old shurflo 30 psi pump and now i think it is faulty, the pump is an old one i had in the garage that could possibly be faulty as i forget why i had it ^^
it is mounted horizontally lying flat on its back , and fitted after it is a NEW accumulator.
it builds up pressure in the lines perfectly as it should and if you use the taps it kicks in and starts ok, and its not cycling on and off in fast pulses , in fact when the pump has stopped automatically you are able to run the water for like 3-4 seconds using the accumulator pressure before the pump re kicks in.
Now onto the problem, randomly after about 30 mins the pump will just start like it has lost a bit of pressure like it had a leak ( which it doesn't ) , but here is the wierd part , it will not stop , it will just keep pumping and only stops if i manually turn it off , or turn on the taps to run a small amount of water , then stop the taps.
from what i have seem there seems no air in the system as ive not noticed any of the taps spitting and spluttering.
to me its seems like there is a problem with the pressure sensor in the shurflo pump, is there any adjustment on these?
or anyone any other ideas before i just spash the dosh and buy a new one.

Try adjusting pressure in accumulator down a bit and also the adjuster on the top of the surflo . Diaphragms are replaceable inside the pump and could be leaking too

Shouldn’t the accumulator be after the pump?

the pressure on the accumulator is as it came from the factory , i never noticed an adjuster on the pump,, ill look at the top of it tomorrow , also ill google to see if i can get diaphragm and what price they are., thanks for the help!

i think thats what ill have to do if its faulty as the diaphragm are not a cheap item.
