First time with a lithium set up, as our van lives in our garage at the bottom of the garden it gets no input from our 700 watts of solar. As I dont like or think its a good idea to keep the hook up plugged in, so periodically check the state of charge of the 2 x 100 Transporter Lithium Batteries. Our grandchildren were playing in the van last week and I wrongly assumed they had turned all the lights off. Went down to check the other day no lights etc. check the panel and saw this on the display. Is the BMS supposed to shut off the batteries before they get this low. As it was still showing a 4 W discharge but nothing would turn on. Plugged the hook up in and after about 10 mins it started to show a charge. Turned the mains current down to 2 amps so as not to bast them with 50 amps or so?

I wouldn’t be worried if it happened now and then with Lifepo4, they can take a lot of stick. Curious why you are limiting charge though instead of giving max it will take?

I use a programmable timer switch during winter months and the van gets 10 hrs each week. Keeps them lovely and healthy.
Might br worth considering. I use a smart one that can be set up on a schedule or switch on/off on an app.
My batteries are old school lead acid
