Have the ferry booked for our first trip to EU ( Spain) in April for 6 weeks and was wondering what I need to take with us ,legal stuff, things I might need , things I will need, don't want a huge list, got bbq and stuff like that, saw a roundabout thing ages ago that you put on the dash to remind you to keep right but can't find it now.

That's a wide-ranging question. What you might need or will need depends upon your lifestyle.
Presumably you've motorhomed in U.K. so take the same general/domestic stuff.

The only Spain-specific legal/motoring stuff needed is detailed here:

We are now supposed to fit a U.K. sticker.
You'll need filling point adaptors if you have a refillable LPG system. (You can't exchange Calor cylinders abroad).

It's in "Resources". Sorry, but I don't know how to find it. I printed and laminated one for my recent trip, as it was so long since I'd driven in Europe. I found it helpful.

Main thing for Spain is two triangles although they are being phased out for an amber warning becon s that sends a signal with location to the emergency services.
Like most countries a spare pair of glasses if you use them for driving.
Spare wheel or means to repair a tyre if spare not standard.
Hi viz jackets for each occupants.

I wouldn't worry about keeping right, keeping on the left when you get back is more of a problem.
Yes, it's strange how that happens, even after only a few days driving on the right.

Blame Jim! He added it to "Resources"!

Even worse when only 10% of your annual mileage is in the UK. Also I think it feels more natural driving on the right.

If you have bikes on the back I think(?) in Spain your warning sign now has to be aluminium and a specific pattern, ie a specific number of stripes.

Corkscrew is a must unless you drink the cheap boxed stuff, most wine bottles have plastic "corks" and not screw caps
