This maybe a non issue, but really want to check.

I have a battery that is completely seperate/independent from the vans leisure setup, has up till now been used purely to run an inverter for when not on EHU. When on EHU, then the battery is connected to a mains charger and we do not use the inverter, this has worked really well.

I now want to be able to to run a couple of 12v/USB sockets directly from the seperate battery and unlike the inverter I do want to use these sockets when on EHU, and therefore when the battery is being charged. My query is can I do this as at times the charger will be putting in 14.4v and that will also be going to the 12v sockets.

Is the above a problem and if so how to get round it? Many thanks for any advice.

I can't see how that battery will be any different to the other habitation battery, so my answer would be "no problem"

As above...when on Hook Up the hab battery floating voltage will be around 14v anyway.
USB won't make any difference as they should be regulated to 5v output
