I'm a newbie
Hi everyone,

We have decided to sell or motorhome and have a trade in offer on a new one.

I am sure we could do better selling privately but I am
1. Wary of scammers and people just wasting time
2. Unsure of what channel/s we should be using e.g. caravansforsale.co.uk via CAMC

what advice does anyone have?

Thanks

Motorhomes are in big demand and prices secondhand are very high. I would always use the fun classified first then ebay. Selling private needn't be a problem if you are cautious and thoroughly check all your money transfers.
I've sold 9 of my vans privately without any issues but be wary. You'll always get the dreamers and chancers but if a few thousand pounds are gained its worth it.
Goid luck which ever way you go.

I would use the classified ads here.

Bought lots of things and always a dream! Beats eBay anyday.

We are in exactly the same position as yourselves and just put our van on this classified. As time is short for us we are now thinking of using eBay classified as much larger audience, we have used them twice before both our vans sold within days no trouble but would love to have interested a funster. Have just had offer from dealer though at higher than part exchange, tempted as like you the last thing we want are time wasters! I would try motorhome fun first. Good luck.

First thing I would do is call as many dealers as possible. See if you get a better offer, they will be a safer bet for the money and a quick sale.

I have always used ebay, only really see scammers trying to sell. Just be sensible I.e. make sure money hits your account, they come to you to view, talk to them beforehand etc. Never had a problem. Sold cars, VW T6, Crafter Motorhome (sold that last year for £2500 more than it was advertised!)….
