Just brought sun light van and previous owner went mad with stick on hooks any tips for removing without damaging wall lining
Someone mentioned hair dryer and dental floss

The wife uses lighter fuel for removing sticker residue, sounds wrong but it works very well.

The dental floss trick works, used it before to get motorbike tank badges off and they use proper strong adhesive.

We did the reverse.
Someone thought these would be a stylish addition to our new (to us) van.

Replaced them with these.

Thanks to the self adhesive backing, can't see the screw holes.

BTW, 96% alcohol, as sold in Spanish supermarkets would get rid of the sticky stuff.

I have the hooks you removed all over my van especially buy the whoosh bang door ideal for rubbish bag but right on pocket height so keeps catching on clothes , you new hooks look lovely modern and sleek

Amazon sell Isopropyl which is Alcohol based cleaning fluid which will remove the sticky stuff very easy.

I'm sorry if I'm offending but it was the exposed Philips screws that did it for me.
The previous owners seem to have had a fetish for hooks?
We've got hooks in places we're trying to establish a use for.

Those hooks are for drying stuff near the heater?

WD40 is good for removing stickers so may be worth a try (y)

Try Acetone (Nail varnish remover)
It's a solvent and will get rid of traces of stickers.

It's available by the litre at sensible prices, so you don't need to buy 5ml from a cosmetics counter!

Another vote for nail varnish remover for getting rid of the residue. Disclaimer, test on a bit you can't see 😁

Isopropanol Is 99% alcohol and is brilliant. Caution. Use only in well ventilated space with zero sources of ignition. Always wear rubber gloves.

WD40 contains mineral oil which can be even more difficult, if not impossible to remove if the surface is at all porous. It soaks in to wood that has been waxed and you cannot get rid of it even sometimes after sanding.
