Seeking advice on installing bike rack on Autotrail Cheyenne 840 D (1 Viewer)

I am going to fit a bike rack on the back wall of my Autotrail Cheyenne 840 D as pictured.

Anyone know the position of the timber frame?

I believe some autotrail have a specific type of rack and fixings.
Ps: your rear view camera will not be able to see with a rack on the rear.

Rather than make holes in the back of the van why not get a tow ball bike rack that’s what I have decided to do.

I believe the specific one is for the posher models with the spare wheel carrier on the back.

Get a hammer and tap across the back every 2 ins the noise will identify where the Battons are

This is the last set up we had as we take the mobility scooter as well as the bikes, the difference with the newer one is the ladder although I still wouldn't know where the frame is located.

Sorry can't help with you query...
But I must say I admire your bravery in drilling holes in outer skin.
If I have to drill holes, even on internal furnishing to fit accessories then I am afraid they don't get fitted....
Hope you find the right spot!

Phone Autotrail tec services and quote build number, they will provide you with drawing of the timbers…. We did this and they were very helpful and supplied necessary drawing the same day
