Rope tied or looped to anchor points?

I have ratchet straps around my batteries too. Perhaps consider these?

I got mine from Aldi when I found them in their "special buy" section while doing my Grandma's shopping. However you'll get them on eBay or Amazon. Very strong and hold a lot of weight. Simple to undo too, but not as easy as bunge straps.

What are you securing? Is it heavy? How often will you need to get it out or move it?

I use Camlock straps bungee's are downright dangerous.
We clearly don't travel as fast as Lenny - we use the flat bungees which are probably the same as the normal ones but look more purposeful - and look great in yellow. We also have most things in Really Useful Boxes, the bikes are strapped into a Fiamma bike unit.

It's when you are stretching a bungee around something ang it slips and hits you in the face. Many an eye lost with bungees.

I use camlock straps.

I have tried to put everything in without fastening though with the exception of the wheel which is properly secured.

I do use a bungee for the table though.

I was using ratchet straps until I over tightened one and pulled the fixing from the garage floor. Too easy to do as they're only held in with self tappers.
Bungees are fine bearing in mind what's expected of them (it's not as if we're going rallying in a moho!) and where possible just lie things flat.
