Seaflow inflatable awning

looks like a bargain - let us know if you take the plunge!

stay safe

I buy loads of stuff from sea-flo and most of it seems to be bargain prices compared to other sellers for the same items

I bought a Screen House copy from Sea-Flo and it was useless.
HOWEVER, they collected at their expense and gave a refund.

Can’t beat proper poles IMHO. Quick to put up and take down, pack smaller and don’t deflate unexpectedly.
Have seen plenty of deflated awnings on sites!

We've bought stuff from them at shows but of course we can then see what the stuff it like, some of it is cheaply made but some is as good as others, it's a bit pot luck however if you read the trust pilot reviews 2 of the 3 who gave them high ratings still had problems (ie wrong size, damaged item) so only 1 of them doesn't appear to have had a problem! Not great! I'm not sure where they source their stock but I suspect some of it is seconds or end of lines.

I had one explode in hot weather once. You could hear the bang a mile away.
Quest pop up for me.

From one 'pop' to another!

Ok been in touch with the seller of the inflatable awnings.
just received .
there are not seconds returns or end of line.

so we’re thinking now for the amount we will use one shall we or won’t we.
or go back to the make your own safari / awning version.
least making your own you know how thick it will be.

Stumped up and ordered one today.
I will not get a good look at it maybe until this summer.
and that depends where we go.. still least I have something for a start.

but I will update this thread when I can

Arrived today so I will soon do the unpacking bit.

Please let us know what you think.

I am going to do the what’s in the box thing soon and set it up freestanding. Just have some more mechanical stuff to do first but I will update this topic

Thanks. Thinking of ordering one. Wouldn’t normally use an awning but planning on spending a couple of months at a Carp fishery. Would be very useful extra space.

Note there are two height sizes.

Well had some time today to see what the inflatable stand alone awning was like.

comes in a bag. . Heard the rumours that they were seconds or end of line.
contacted the seller and they said no to either .

opened the bag and the first thing you see it the webbing straps bright green in colour.
not piddley thin strings.

Anyway opening the bag and getting out the contents. There are 3 small inflatable stays that fit into the top of the unit and are attached by thick Velcro these. 3 parts space the. Top of the unit and brace it into a stand alone stable awning.
fitted when the unit is up.

well laid it out the best I could and found the two inflation valves.
put the pump together and noted an additional fitting that is a pressure valve preset at 7 psi.
fits to the pump before you fit the hose. Pump and inflation hose and assorted ends supplied.

when inflated I then fitted the webbing straps and started pulling it about and pegging down Roughly as I was going.

soon it was up I inserted the front canopy grp rods and it all started to get a ridged unit.

the back tunnel section was NOT attached the the Moho and we left that as one would leave it for a day out freestanding.

the amount of doors and windows in the main area with the attached groundsheet I thought was enough.

the whole of the front when unzipped opened the unit to the out side and a couple of lightweight poles for a canopy
or sun shade..

the rear tunnel is quite a size on its own. With a zipped door either end.
with the main area unzipped and the tunnel open it is quite a large unit.
the tunnel however does NOT have and attached ground sheet ..

the sides of the tunnel are elasticated. So stake at the bottom should ensure a good fit.

the stitching seems the same as others and the seams again were waterproof taped.

all in all for the really low amount this cost it was well worth it.

And amazing enough it all went back in the same bag it came in.

the bad bit .

the down fall of the whole package is .

the tent pages need throwing in the bin and getting a good set that we have already purchased.

so for the money this will suit us.

see the images for more detail.

PLEASE NOTE they come in two heights for attachment to the Fiamma canopy

i have been as fair as I can with the description .

as far as pegs go I have some of these.
very thick material good quality .

Suggest you get yourself a cheap tarpaulin and cut it to just slightly larger than the footprint of the awning, that way if you put this down first it will stop the underside of the groundsheet getting mucky, you can then just clean the tarp down rather than try to wrestle the awning around to do so.

Also some of these to hold it down:
