I've got three nights booked at Stonehaven campsite tomorrow, which I'm looking forward to. I received a text message from CAMC to say I can arrive from 09:00 if I want. Probably to stagger arrivals I would imagine.

Are there anyone else on here heading to any other campsites in Scotland tomorrow? Anyone else going to Stonehaven?

I've also got my second Covid vaccination tomorrow morning, so hopefully I'm not suffering any side effects.

Cheers,

Arron.

Good luck with the vaccination and the vacation . Off to Dumf and Gal next week, for 5 days. Mrs Dram had her second jag yesterday and has had the hot and colds all day today. My turn in two weeks.
Enjoy your trip away next week. Fingers crossed the weather is nice for you.

Hope the missus is better soon.

Cheers,

Arron.

Not going this week but I am looking forward to getting north of the border fairly soon, it’s not too soon to be getting excited about it though!

Hopefully it won't be to busy as loads will be heading north as they tend to forget about D&G, enjoy your trip.

Our 2nd jags on Thursday, but me at 11:02 and Elaine at 15:00! I've got cardiology clinic tomorrow and I have to get new Fridge Control Panel fitted asap, and then we can get away somewhere; anywhere!

One of our favourite places to stop when going north/south.

Hoping to be stopping there on Friday after collecting van from Durham, then it will be onto Hawick to see how their developments are coming along.

Sorry to drift, but in my training as a vaccinator we were told to advise patients to HYDRATE really well both before and after the jab, as this has been shown to reduce the chances and severity of any reaction significantly. Perhaps there are medics here who can confirm.

rnb100 , lorger

One of our favourite sites !!

One tip.....

We chose one of the pitches marked in red below. There was a constant humming throughout the night from the buildings behind. I think it was to do with the swimming pool filtration/ heating?

Don't forget to try the deep fried Mars Bar at the chippy :frowny:

Currently heading west in the car from Fife. You would think it was the start of the school holidays with the amount of motorhomes and caravans that we have passed heading northwards. Wish it was me lol.
Us too! I'll be heading west from Fife in the car shortly, but to the hospital for the Cardiology Clinic to see whether I really am all heart, or whether it's just propaganda ... Just hope the Consultant has a proper gander this afternoon (y)

Hope it’s good news for you. Fingers crossed.

Thanks very much! It's just a routine check up [I hope] since NHS Scotland have never seen me! I chose to have my heart attack in Spain, just as COVID started! I got a free ride in a helicopter to the Regional University Hospital but the helipad was in the middle of a traffic island about 5 mins drive from the local hospital who did the initial assessment and kitted me out in a standard 3 ties hospital gown ... Getting off an ambulance stretcher, onto the helicopter equivalent with the rotors swishing away and plucking at my hospital gown did little to preserve my dignity, and I'm sure someone muttered something about mid January being too soon after Xmas to contemplate more sprouts ...

3 stents fitted in 2 hits after the first 2 didn't solve the problem and all was wonderful again, except that the 2nd round of stent fitting led to a problem stopping the bleeding from my left wrist, so I ruined several hospital pillows as the poor female surgeon was using all her 50kg weight to close the wound site! Brilliant healthcare, and lovely people!

Well, just back from a shopping expedition and Edinburgh City Bypass is busy with Motorhomes flowing in both directions. Chum reports Costo busy with MHs loading up and my local Tesco has had a few MHs this morning.....it's all go, thank goodness.

Will do some system checks this afternoon in prep for next week.

We try and buy locally when we get to where we are going.
At the rallies I now ask folk to keep receipts of any expenditure in the town and send a copy into the local council.

I've only had my first jab, but I was unbelievably thirsty for 12 hours or so afterwards.

, the good news the chemical toilet dump is up and running and it’s free. The bad, new laminated signs all over depicting a motorhome and a car stating no overnight parking. Lunch stop at Wild Goat Car Park near Murray’s Monument then we are heading to Kirroughtree Visitor Centre

Stewart those signs have been up all winter and obviously not been taken down as the car park is now opened for overnight stays.

When I said busy I meant Christmas busy i.e. no room in the inn busy.
Arrived early at Moffat CCC, all facilities available under new rules. The site has 150 pitches, ALL TAKEN!
Unfortunately, it's a bit damp, but hope for better weather tomorrow.
