Just back from a week in the beautiful place that is Scotland. Snow, rain, lots and lots of wind but stunning scenery with wonderful stopovers and hospitality from everyone we met. Cairngorms to Findhorn, to New Lanark and Dundee. Only one proper site at St Andrews all week and the motorhome was faultless.

Was worrying about what to do for Easter, we love France and Europe but Covid and new AHC requirements put us off. I have leave a few days earlier than Lucy and found a Ryanair flight to Toulouse for £29 for Lucy and the kids. At that price, the decision was made, I will drive down and pick them up from the airport. Saves the kids moaning about the drive and gives me time to get the dog across and drive down.

Beaches of the Med, here we come! I hope……

I have paddle boards, really awful French (I do try), and a love for pastries. I hope Covid behaves!

We might follow the weather, with only two weeks I will be miffed if it chucks it down loads.

Will need to check Spanish Covid requirements too.

Going to Chester for Easter, then if the weather looks OK we'll head for York and a CCC THS, then maybe drift North towards Scotland (not the NC500).

We are planning to be in France/Spain/Portugal for 6 weeks or so leaving in a few weeks time. We have got to use our Eurotunnel frequent traveller tickets before they run out at the end of this year.

May try to get to Valencia for Easter, as I think they have a large street festival with huge effigies which get burned at the end of it. PhilandMena Am I right about that happening at Easter?

Not/can't book anything until we have a MH on our driveway.
1st booking will be 3 nights in Hope in derbyshire to shake the van down and sort things. Then who knows.

Portsmouth to Santander Easter Monday, then probably down towards Malaga staying to the west of Spain.
Meandering about before calling to see an old mate in Mojacar. Then up the coast to France and homeward bound at a hopefully leisurely pace.
only have 4 weeks though, unless my beloved flies home and I stay travelling 🤔

Woolacoombe Devon for us at Easter...unfortunately I work Staffordshire and son is at school in Cheshire-holidays not in sync this year! France in the summer holidays...💖

Starting off in St Andrews as son has offer holders Open Day. Then, heading north as hoping house in Torridon will be ready for us to start moving furniture back in. Kitchen goes in this week so just finishing, floors and painting to go.
Imagine we’ll be cleaning builders dust for a while!

Loved St Andrews, must be a great place to go to University.

He’s a sailor and it has an active sailing club so wasn’t a hard choice … we visited on the sunny day last summer and it was glorious 👍. He knows a couple of other people who are going so hopefully that bodes well.

We arrived in Spain 3 days ago - no Covid checks, in fact no checks whatsoever. Came down the West side of France, from the Tunnel.

Good to know, I did check and it’s just an online form at the moment.

Fine for non compliance is €3k so I think I will do them just in case.

If interested in a free stopover, send me a PM, and I will give you my details.

A very kind offer Yodeli, if we head your way, I will be in touch. I doubt you would find my English very helpful though being from the Black Country, I don’t speak English well. 😀
Off to a site near York for 4 nights at Easter then 3-4 weeks down to Croatia and back in May😁😁
Would love to visit Croatia, need a few more weeks than the 2 we have.
