Evening all, I recently had to replace my vehicle battery and now my LT 500 panel won't display voltage from the vehicle battery and the fridge in battery mode shows red light ( dometic C40/110) . I've checked all Fuses in vehicle battery compartment and all good. Any pointers would be appreciated.

I take it you have the attached manual ? and checked all the fuses and connections on the unit . Is the battery fully charged and you have started the engine and ran it for a short time. Not sure how old the van is but a start /stop run cleared faults on my car after I replaced the battery , appreciate the faults are habitation area issues but worth a try.
Is it possible that a cable has not been replaced at the starter battery connection point. (maybe fallen behind/under the battery ?)
As above. You have either left the wire that goes from vehicle battery to hab side or you have blown the fuse on that supply.
Thanks for response, all cables were connected back as they were and all fuses are good. With the electric hook up on the LT 500 display shows vehicle battery at about 14 volts as you would expect. My multimeter on the battery terminals shows the same, if I switch off hook up the LT 500 displays nothing but my multimeter still showing battery healthy at a 13 v ISH reading as expected. When I run the engine I get 14v on the vehicle battery as expected but no display on LT 500 and also the fridge in battery mode displays flashing red light to indicate some kind of fault which I am guessing is not on fault.

Sounds like you have blown the fuse.
The ebl charges the engine battery on the fridge feed not the main battery feed so you seeing the charge volts for both.
Try to test the volts on the back of ebl where the three wires enter, should be engine live leisure live and negative

So the only time your LT500 works is when you are on EHU?
That would suggest that you LT500 isn’t getting power, or the EBL isn’t.

Section 3.1 in the manual , 3rd bullet point about after changing batteries? Worth a look .
On the back of your EBL there are three connections. Van battery +, hab battery -, hab battery +

Are you able to get to the starter battery connection on the rear of the EBL to confirm that 12v it is getting to the EBL from the starter battery, if it is perhaps a relay within the EBL is faulty ? ,and if it is not getting to this connection, there may be another module between the battery and EBL that needs checking.

Just to address one issue, the LT display shows all the hab battery displays in all states i.e. engine running, not running, ehu connected and not connected. Only shows voltage of vehicle battery when hook up is on. I will attempt to get to the back of the EBL unit and get my multi meter on the terminals.

I think your EBL isn’t connected to your starter battery.
When you are plugged into EHU it is showing what the charger is trying to send TO your starting battery, to charge it.
On the wire that goes from your starter battery there will be a fuse, and either this is blown, or the wire isn’t connected.
When my panel couldn’t see the engine battery it was because the fuses next to the engine battery (50 amp and 20(?) amp weren’t present. Maybe you’ve blown one of them. When you ‘see’ the engine battery while on hookup I suspect that’s just what the charger thinks it’s putting into the battery.
Just been and played with mine.

I'll double check any fuses again I may have missed one that's hidden somewhere. Just out of interest how does the EBL know when the engine is running? Is it the increase in voltage from the starter battery or is there a signal wire to it ?

There is a D+ signal from the alternator going to the EBL when the engine is running , I think you need to double check the 20amp fuse normally found near the starter battery positive terminal as if it , or the fuse holder , is faulty it could cause the problems you have

Okay so I have got to the back of the EBL and with no hook up on my multimeter reads 13.37v at the starter battery terminal and 14.04 v on the Habitation battery ( solar panel charges this also) . All fuses are good

Might be some time for any more replies, 5th post completed
There are 2 x 12v feeds from the starter battery to the EBL , you have confirmed that the main one on the rear of the EBL is ok so the other one appears to be missing.

2nd photo of yours. Small fuse holder near blue wire. Have you removed that and checked it?
