Wotcha Pasha.. welcome on board
I personally have three different makes.. The one I trust the most and find easiest to use is the Garmin.. I have a few of them and they are most excellent.. ( Zumo, Nuvi and Streetpilots x 3 )
The downside is the cost of map updates on the garmins.. The TomTom updates ( unofficial ones supplied by users ) are free and constant..
The downside of Tomtoms is the god awful ( [HI]read non-existent ) customer care[/HI] / after sales service, the incredibly slow route finding, the amazingly slow reworks if you miss a turn and the non-intuitive place finder
The upside of the Tomtom is the way they display turnings is excellent and the voice commands very good indeed
I also have a 7" screened unit that is similar to the Snooper but without the issues and problems they seem to have .
It is a Ci Windows based pad type affair with most excellent screen and routing ability
When I bought it it came with the all western European countries. I asked them to add Croatia and Hungary maps which they did at no extra charge. ( bought from a company called Electronics World Wide Ltd who hail from Dutton nr Northwich )
