Hi friends and family. I am heading here in March, in my motorhome. Can you give me some campsite names please. I will also travel to Spain, San sabastian. Many thanks Neil

We stayed here for one week in September. Close to the beach and very comfortable. A short walk into Town. There is a lovely beach bar just outside the entrance. Our Superdrug SIM didn't work at all when we were there, and it rained heavily most of the time! We got fed up and went straight to Benidorm without stopping...

The Aire by the Railway Station was cramped and choc-a-bloc!

We prefer to stay at Camping Larrouleta just outside of the town to the south at Urrugne but easy access on bike or there is a regular bus with a stop at the main road, plus big supermarket close by.

From the same bus stop it is a pleasant ride to the Spanish border with a pleasant place to visit at Hendaye, fantastic prom and river side walking.

Can’t remember the name of the local pastry in SJdL but it was fantastic, you will easily see it in the shops. I think it may have been called Tarte du Basque.

The Aire in the centre by the bridge, mentioned above, is the busiest one I have ever seen. I’ve never actually seen any space to park in and I’ve passed it lots of times over the years. You couldn’t get a fag paper between the vans ☹️

Camping Orio at Orio quite nice with an easy train journey into San Sebastián/Donostia. The other way Zarautz is well worth a visit too for the tapas on offer.
