Safeguard insurance are no longer providing green cards to Morocco or Turkey on new policies or at renewal.

This is due to the underwriters Allianz being bought out by LV.

I have not confirmed this but heard it from a source that I trust.

Apparently this is affecting AXA as well? This is not confirmed nor from a trusted source.

LV has just covered my motorcycle for Morocco , when no one else would .... 4 months for £24 ..

Just renewed my Safeguard policy including Morocco no problem .

SAGA has just stopped covering Morocco . according to the MCC forum

It looks to to be the other way round to me - Allianz is a huge company they ve taken a 49% stake in LV.

This is not something of any interest to me as I don't have any plans or desire to visit either country. I just posted as I thought it might be of interest. Apologies if any details are wrong or back to front. I don't have enough interest in the topic to do any chasing around on it sorry.

Can someone tell me when saga stopped doing the green card, we called them last Thursday and they were still doing them !
