Just renewed with Safeguard and the chap I spoke to said they would be sending me a pack FOC.
Seems like good extra security for free.

Similar systems have been in use for over 20 years, Datadot, Smartwater etc. We usuallyonly relied on them when "normal" identification features had been cut out, ground off etc, or having recovered parts of dismantled vehicles. Whether you would want your vehicle back if it was in a condition where identification had to be made by those methods is another matter, although usually they were owned by the insurance companies as they had already settled the loss with the owners.

Received ours yesterday totally out of the blue from Safeguard.

Used this on motorbikes in the past and it’s an extra chance of finding a stolen vehicle.
