Two Provo residents were killed early Friday morning after their motor home left Interstate 15 and plowed through homes in the Snow Haven subdivision.
Steven Clark, 55, and his wife Susan, 53, were killed during the incident that was reported at about 5:30 a.m. in the homes located immediately to the east of J.C. Snow Park and its skateboarding facility. Also in the vehicle were the Clark’s children and a foreign exchange student.
Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Shawn Hinton, section commander for Washington and Kane counties, said the Clarks were traveling south with eight passengers ages 3 to 23 when their motor home left the highway for a reason that had not yet been identified.
The eight passengers, identified by troopers as the Clarks’ adult son and two adult daughters, a daughter-in-law and her twin sister, two grandchildren and a Chinese foreign exchange student, were sleeping or sitting in the back when the crash occurred.
All of them were transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, Hinton said.
