Chicken feet and heads are, I believe, something of a delicacy in South Africa.

The worst is when you put it in a bin then the next day you see them taking the bins on a wee motorbike truck on to the beach or in the woods and burying it in the sand etc . There are no waste management facilities in Morocco so it gets buried or burned In nature. We found the level of rubbish quite depressing.
It’s when you put your rubbish in a bin, then see folk rummaging through it and throwing it out
But was very happy to visit with all what you see.
There's many bins garry but no proper waste management after the bin. No bin lorries just guys who take the bins and dump them .Yes, I almost felt rebellious putting my sweet wrapper in a bin of which there are many…
Chinese do that too , the eyes are a delicacy but no for me lolI still haven't recovered from Cintia eating the head complete with eyes
They do … and the feet of chickensI thought the Spanish & Portuguese did that.
Now if you want a real challenge drive from there in to casablanca to visit the White cathedral ....the drive will really raise your blood pressure I did it last time. Hence completely bypassing cassablanca this time. There's also an amazing scrap yard village on the outskirts of cassablanca it must be a few square miles in sizeLeft this morning for the big mosque in Casablanca, it was a good run that my old London driving experience needed to thread my way through all the chaos that the Moroccans throw at you like pulling right out in front of you turning left when in the far right lane also right in front of you, motorbikes playing chicken vehicles coming from the wrong direction including straight at you especially scooters, 2 lane going to 1 on a roundabout.. it’s just a case of focusing on a point you want to be at and just going for it.. Cintia was hanging on with white knuckles the whole trip and has never seen anything like, even in the Amazon… me… I loved it…
Parked right next to the mosque in paid parking with a car wash thrown in for 50d (€5).. result…

The mosque was bigger then I expected and I must admit was very impressive, loudspeakers belted out the call for prayer so we weren’t allowed in but I took a couple of pictures from the doorway, there was an endless stream of people going in. I believe it can hold 28,000 inside…
Another hot day and cracking blue sky…

Don't crow garry ... don't tempt your van to have problems lol. I never say shit like that without touching wood.Parked up at EL Jadida now outside the ibis hotel and it’s very lively here with lots of families on the beach, guardian parking for €3. It was getting dark so only stopping here for the night and going further south tomorrow. Driving here on a mix of roads some good some bad, lots of scabby dogs and cats along the way, most dogs have tags on their ears so been done I think…
Filled the diesel tank for the first time today since in Morocco, was on a quarter tank so got 68 litres in for £55 on my bank card it says and getting 30mpg so loving that feeling… lots of police stop checks but so far have got waved through… it’s warm here tonight by the beach in the van, had the aircon on today and max fan on now tonight…
All in all a good day and no dramas to worry you lot and my brakes are fine…
Oh and my bill at the campsite 7 nights with leccy was £57..

You have plenty of solar so best not to use leccy unless you have over & under voltage protection & surge protection, too risky with their dodgy electrics.Oh and my bill at the campsite 7 nights with leccy was £57..

What is the charger?Site leccy only powers my charger…
What is the charger?
I wouldn't run it of dodgy Moroccan electrics then.Cbe crap..

Could be a pain if it goes bang here thoughIt’ll give me an excuse to change it when it goes..
My thoughts too.Could be a pain if it goes bang here though
I'm OK...I don't have a charger at allMy thoughts too.
CBE chargers are only speed 230v +/-10% so 207 - 253v. Elektroblock's have a wider spec and they blow up on low voltage, don't know about CBE units.
207v is probably high for Moroccan mains.
Enjoy Oualidia! You and Cintia will have some good exercise if you decide to go up the hill to the shops. If you prefer to be lazy there are people who will bring most things you need right to the van. It's not that obvious what people are selling as they walk about but one guy has fruit, veg and bread in his bag and it's just a little more expensive than if you go up to the veg stalls, there is a guy who brings fish and prawns (we asked the tagine man and he sent him to us later on) or there is a fish stall by the beach where the boats land.Sea was noisy last night but got some sleep…
Very cosmopolitan feel this morning reminded me of parking by the beach in Spain with people on the beach gym and playing football and volleyball lots of people exercising… very warm again..
Very clean around here not much rubbish and beach looks great.
Two youngsters having a snack outside my van…
Moving on to Oualidia today for the weekend…

I expect you will come back via Dieppe/Newhaven so you can get me to sort out your blown up electrics. You two are are bundle of joy..
Most non european countries do this. The only ones separating rubbish for recycling are us. But it all ends up in the same place, so yet another scam. The worst is when you put it in a bin then the next day you see them taking the bins on a wee motorbike truck on to the beach or in the woods and burying it in the sand etc . There are no waste management facilities in Morocco so it gets buried or burned In nature.
And if they picnic on the beach they just leave everything behind them.
It's very sad
Or the whole van if it all goes up in Smoke! You are a long way from home .......It’ll give me an excuse to change it when it goes..
