Re visiting after many years
Hi to you all, we are not new comers to the outdoors, in our 40 odd years together we have had, Vw split screens, and bay windows and a incredible explorer with space maker roof, none of which were really practical, but seemed like a good idea a time the time, we then progressed ( with 3 children) to an unbelievieably fitted out Welton caravan, so heavy! Even Volvo estate struggled at times. Progressed through numerous trailer tents, (seemed to be a good compromise). Our last purchase was a Racellette trailer tent, if was like a mobile marquee. We decided enough was enough. And for a number of years we have not done the camping holidays, we thought we would stay local and discover all th Beauty locally, ( we are in Windermere the Lake District). However after much deliberation and uncertainty we have again ventured into the outdoor life. We have purchased a custom built ( from Gerna factory) Merc Sprinter 316 (903 platform) with the 2.7 5 potter and the sprintshift box!!!!!!!!!.
I always fancied a classic car, but this is very interesting and we intend to put it to good use, any got to finish now, coronation street is starting.
Look forward to meeting members on rallies, bye for now.

Welcome! Is "Gerna" a typo for "German"?
But no matter, welcome anyway and have you any plans where to go?

Re visiting after many years
We are now booked on the Stratford river festival rally at end of June, we also fancy the Jurassic coast meet at Bridnorth.
We are on Grandprent duties quite a lot in May, ( as our daughter and her husband are both Sergeants in the police and May is very busy for them with local festival and Appleby fair). So we consulted with Annie our 8 year old granddaughter and she would love to go to Whitby for fish and Chips, so this may well be our first real venture.
