We are travelling from Broglie South of Rouen to Neufchatel en Bray tomorrow. Any advice on route would be appreciated. We have been through Rouen a few times and managed to avoid the tunnels but feel a bit rusty now having not travelled this way for a couple of years.

You do realise that most funsters will be tucked up in bed at this time don't you, giving their teddy bears a cuddle? 😴

And so they should be!😁😁. Think I'll just set the sat nav and keep my eyes open for height barriers. We've always got through before.

Pick up the A28 before Rouen and you should be ok. Taken that route many times from SW France and the sat nav has always kept me on the main road towards Calais.

In bed but not tucked up, to pissed to care.
That's what happens when you meet up with other Funsters in Spain.

Thanks for that. A28 it is then.

Over many years we have not found a sensible alternative to bypass Rouen. The motorway becomes Dual carriageway at the city's edge and drops down through a tunnel. Exit this in the inside lane and in 1.5km take the 3rd exit signed to Vernon. The slip road ends in traffic lights - go in the centre lane to turn left across a dual carriageway. You should now be in the right hand lane for the next set of lights. Go straight on then bear right onto the D6015 signed for Vernon. In a little while the Seine appears on your right and you are clear of the City

This one hasnt failed me

We travelled from the South to Neufchatel en Bray two weeks ago - followed the sat nav around the ring road never went under any tunnels - caution got to the Aire at 14:00 and got the last pitch

Two times now, I've ended up in some kind of rundown Rouen industrial estate, darn Tomtom stanav, I'll try the suggested route

We always avoid Rouen by going via pont de brotonne on the d490 , because we use the Aire at la Mailleraye for the vets

Given where you are now you would be going out of your way if you drove through Rouen.

Pick up the A28 until you get to the A13 junction. At that junction look for the D913 signposted to Yvetot I think. Then the D490 which takes you over the Seine on the Pont de Brotonne and becomes the D131. South of Yvetot turn right at a roundabout onto the D131E. Then follow the signs to the A29 and head East on it until it merges with the A26 and head North on that to Neufchattel en Bray

I drove that way last week. I use a TomTom phone app for navigation, just followed where it said to go and all was good.

Thanks, once I saw it I realised that these were instructions we had followed in the past. Particularly helpful was the bit telling you what lane to get into. Got through with no dramas😊😊

Thanks for the heads up. It was fairly full when we arrived at around 1400 and is full now. We decided to try the affiliated campsite next door for a change and it is delightful. Lovely pitches and everywhere spotless.
