Route advice needed

We are currently in Port en Bessin and need to get to Buchy for the vet. It's blowing a hooly at moment so Pont de Normandy route will be a no go. So I need to go through Rouen which I've avoided.
I'm concerned about the low tunnel.

Stay to the East of Rouen. It takes you through the industrial area of the city, so no low tunnels.

As above, if you follow the signs for Calais from the road into Paris (can't remember the road number) - it takes you through the industrial area alongside the railway. It's an easy route and avoids the low tunnel and takes you through the large tunnel on the edge of Rouen.

You could use the A29 couldnt you and avoid Rouen altogether?

A29 uses Pont de Normandy

What is the height of the low tunnel in Rouen? I seem to recall dragging a caravan through there over 15 years ago.

What’s the problem with the A29 And Pont Normandy? Or have I got start and end wrong?


weve never had an issue going through Rouen on a28 - never even seen the dreaded low tunnels- but we do on occasion use the A29.haven’t found pont Normandy anything other than majestic not even too expensive!

The weather is horrendous and force 9 gales hence the reason we didn't go over it today.

Managed to navigate passed Rouen even with some unforeseen road closures. Nearly ended back towards centre after missing the turn off for the a28 but managed to find a slip road a do a turnaround.
