Hi we had a great 4 days at Rosemarkie near invernes this motor home and caravan site very clean nice showers and it’s right on the edge of the beach over looking fort George one end of the site was a nice pup where they do good food and the other end of site there is a golf club if you pay them £2 you can use there club good food and drink

Been there many times, you can watch the Dolphins at Chanonry Point, we heard a rumour that the local council were not renewing the licence for the C & CC and they were going to run the site themselves.

Fort George is well worth a visit. I think you have to book.

Huh, if the council can afford to take over a campsite, you'don't think they could afford to fix our roads!

£2 !! When we were there only a couple of years ago the fee was only £1 that’s a huge rate of inflation.

3 years ago, we wild camped on the sea front just before The CCC Site, at Rosemarkie, we arrived mid afternoon, walked along the beach, visited a really scruffy, ill managed pub, had a pint then left, it really did need a management change.
Having spent the night on the sea front we left the next morning to head on Northwards.
Got LPG re-filled at Tain Garage, just off A9 if my memory serves me well, hope its still available.
Spoiler Alert!....I see on Google Earth that they have now put wooden bollards up to stop us, and others wilding on the sea front, ah well that's another good overnight wild spot disappeared.

Yes they still do lpg.

Like many places on that stretch of coastline, they were inundated with 30 or 40 vans per night, many leaving both domestic and black waste behind.
