Hello, me again! :ROFLMAO:

Annual cleaning underway and I've noticed the roof strip is starting to look a little tired, probably not helped by all the low hanging branches in our off the beaten track adventures. (I've got a couple of bits where I need to fill the clearcoat in the GRP side mouldings too 🙊 I'll do a separate thread on how that goes).

Does anyone know what the degrading plastic/rubbery material covering the roof strip in the photos is? What's the best way to go about giving it a bit of TLC?

Cheers 👍

If it's like our AT it will be a metal alloy profile covered by a plastic "D" cover.
The plastic cover will be stuck to the metal with sealant.
When ours was showing signs of discolouration I covered it with 4" wide Eternabond tape.
Much easier than trying to remove the plastic (you'll damage it) and replacing after you've removed all the existing sealant.
