In the two plus years we’ve had our MH we’ve used the roof extractor thing once or twice. I’m considering replacing it with a normal roof light that will let more light in.

Good idea or bad idea?

Can you just remove the fan unit and leave the vent itself?

Anyone who knows the 2008 Apache will know that the cab end of the hab space isn’t well serviced with natural light, unlike newer models with skylights in the over cab bed bulk head, so that’s the reason for posing the question Spriddler 🤓

Thanks for the advice. I'm now sold on the MaxxAir, they look superb, but it looks like I will need to move the solar panel. Grrrr.

Wouldn’t a clear acrylic cover instead of your grey one work? Assuming you can get one made to suit,
im not knocking the Maxxair fan as I have one fitted and they do the job superbly,

Possibly, but it's all looking a bit tired and with a regal visit pending..... well, you know :)
