road tax on a new motorhome

Does anyone know what the cost of the road tax will be on a new motorhome for the 1st year price new in excess of 100k engine size 2.3

Not sure if the 1st years tax goes on engine size / emissions or vehicle value or both

As long as your emissions are not on the converters Certificate of conformity you don’t need to pay the extra for emissions up to 3500kg GVW £230 over 3500kg £165.

MAKE SURE THE DEALERS FILL IT OUT, correctly on the registration form,, NO EMMISIONS , one bloke on here got £800 a year tax on hi pplus a load of extra taxes because the emmission figure was put down on the form. DVLC contacted most motorhome dealers to point it out.

Its nothing to do with the dealers. It is down to the manufacturer when they apply for the vehicles COC (Certificate of conformity) If it is blank on the COC and sent in with the V55 for registration of AFRL depending on which system is used then it is taxed and it not applicable to the diesel supplement.
If the COC comes back with an emissions figure in the box there is nothing the dealer can do when they send it on!

I am not sure what the tax is as my purchase price gives the figure and states that 12 months tax is included in the price
