Managed to crunch the passenger mirror on our 2011 Ducato yesterday when a tree leapt out in front of the van. This is the 3rd or 4th time in 4 years although previously has always been hit by a ‘van blanc’ when touring in France. I’ve done a proper job this time so repeating previous repairs using the ABS Mirror Guard and Gaffa Tape is not going to work. Will have to bite the bullet and fork out for a new one. Found one on flea bay for £65 from Empart which looks like it would do the job and seems well reviewed and written up on this forum. Includes electric heater and adjustment feature.

However, I believe the remains of the existing item contain the Antennas for the Radio and/or TwatNav and it doesn’t look like these are included on the new one. I wonder if any Funsters can advise whether it is practical to transfer the antennas from old to new or if there is an alternative solution.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Thanks

Mark

Never found an antennae in mine, think it's a myth. (y)

Antenna sits on top of the LH mirror inside of the outer skin.

I think it's just for the FM/AM radio in which case I think I can site elsewhere or use an alternative type. Will check the twatnav when it stops raining to see if it is still operating since removing the antenna.

The door mirror aerials are poor use it as an opportunity to fit a decent aerial.
