The rear window in our Bailey can no longer be held open. This is desirable when cooking or just when it's hot.
You can turn the locking ring but it doesn't grip the slide anymore. There doesn't seem to be anyway to adjust the strut. Also, the strut, at the top, seems to be glued to the window.

Can they be repaired and if so, how or do they need to be replaced?

I also need to replace the two gas struts on my single bed. I've looked for a model number but there are none anywhere on the strut.

I've attached a photo of the rear window strut that won't lock.

It looks as though the thin pin pushes into the strut to secure it in position.
Your problem will be removing the existing pin if I'm correct.
It may need drilling out to the same size.

Damn! Thought it might be more complex than I'd hoped. May have to get two new stays.

I replaced a similar one on mine, I purchased it from my dealer's shop, it was just a few quid. The securing pin was easy to push out with a wire nail and it was a simple straight swap then push in the new pin.

I replaced a couple of those bought of an ebay seller found instruction tutorial on You Tube

Hi Neil,

If you can wait for about three weeks, I'll be able to get you the numbers off the struts that hold our single beds up.

I know you know why the delay.;)

Thanks, that will be great. No rush; may still be travelling. (y)
