Has anyone been to this site, it’s adult only site and looks nice and near a town to go for a bite to eat and beer etc. Looking at going for wives birthday in September. Your experiences please good or bad. (y)

Have stayed there more than once. The last time was June this year. Well run site and beautiful setting.

There web site looks really good and it all ticks the boxes for us. Just wondered what the town was like etc for beer and food. It’s Nikki’s birthday so should give her a day off cooking really and treat her to a bag of crisps and a glass of wine. (y)

If the Fir Tree had branches everywhere, it would have no need to walk ... But that's technological progress for you ... (y) :oops:

Went a couple of years ago, very good, well laid out and kept very clean.
Short walk into town but uphill on way back, not too steep.
Car hire available, delivered to site and collected from there also, good price too.
Reservoir up the road very scenic.

Places to eat? Remember, this is Wales! It’s a very nice site, a fair pull back uphill.

The advertised fishing lake is a large puddle, but you wouldn’t be fishing on your beloved’s birthday, would you?

Yes we were there just over a week ago.
Absolutely fantastic and wished we'd stayed longer.
Tranquil with stunning views.
Pristine site and great facilities.
Lovely staff,really friendly and helpful.
Ideal for Red Kite feeding station a few miles away which was the highlight of our week.
Powys castle and gardens also worth visiting.
Will definitely be returning again.

On site since Tuesday great Adults only site second visit for us love it great walking right from the site.Nice pubs in the village with good food.👍
Brother has his seasonal Caravan pitched here also.

We loved it there.
Have you been to the Red Kite feeding centre? It's a must do visit.It was the highlight of our stay there.
The walks are lovely too from the bottom of the site.

Yes done that fantastic watching those magnificent birds,only recently in our neck of the woods we have had a pair nesting close by us.

I just sit in our back garden and watch them. Keep telling the dog to move in case they think she's carrion.
 
Near Reading, you'd be very lucky to see less than three or four red kites in the sky at any particular time!

Largest group we've seen in High Wycombe was about twenty. Some having to elevate to get over the roof of the house. Can sit here and watch them for hours. Beautiful creatures.
 
Great site and there is a pub in town called the Angel best lamb curry I have ever eaten check out reviews on Trip Advisor.👍

Oh well. If there's a lamb curry going we'd better go and look at the the Welsh red kites (•‿•).

Yes it was a truly wonderful experience for us both.
Your have to post some pics if you're fortunate to see them.
