Hi Wayne/Lisa, we stayed at the Fleur Dy Lys, Nr Warwick, (Lowsonford) cracking food house with good sized car park, big beer garden with canal, free as long as you eat, we were the only one staying overnight late June, great spot very hidden away, oh and famous for its pies, yes had to have one.

Hi all
Anyone got any recommendations for sites about an hour’s drive from West Bromwich ideally near a village so we can walk down to local pub for a beer and food.

Before Drink/Drive the Fleur de Lys was one of the regular pubs on the summer circuit for Saturday nights drinking with our pals. There was a pub somewhere around Burntwood that we loved, it had a quite small sign up for smokers saying 'When the carpet is full, please use the ashtrays' - as a consequence of which, most people sought an ashtray before lighting up. There are more ways of getting folk to do the decent thing than shouting harsh orders at them.
