Hi.
Has anyone recently ( Within the last year ?) converted a PVC Fiat Ducato into a M/home and had the V5C come back as motor home please, after proving it was a proper job done. Thanks for any replies,i understand that it can take a few tries,so await your replies.

There have been quite a few postings on this subject recently. Basically, it is down to luck and the opinion of the assessor at the DVLA. If you plaster your van with graphics detailing mountain scenes , compasses etc and add the words Campervan or Motor Home then you may succeed. If you attach graphics of geometrics shapes you will almost certainly get van with windows.
At the end of the day it is irrelevant what is on the V5. If you have followed DVLA guidelines for the internal features you will get a letter confirming the vehicle can be used a Motor Caravan and this is acceptable to most, if not all, insurance companies, and you have the benefit of Motor Caravan speed limits rather than a commercial van speed limits.
