Hi. Autotrail Cheyenne SE here. Got these rear speakers. How do I use them and what are they connected to? Tried following the wires but can't work it out. Cheers!

Cheers. Do you mean by adjusting the front/rear balance on the radio? I've dried adjusting that and nothing seems to happen.

Could they have been connected to a no longer present dvd player or something?

Mine are also connected to the head unit which is also a dvd player

Mine are connected to the radio head unit in my Autotrail Savannah, controlled as you said via the radio front/rear fader,, may have been disconnected at some time. easy enough to rectify (y)

The rear speakers in our current motorhome didn’t work when we bought it. I tried fiddling with the front to rear balance on the stereo to no effect.
After a bit of sussing and boggling I decided to take the speakers out to check the wiring. To my surprise both speakers were disconnected. After re connecting them they work ok so they must have never been connected during the build.

Thanks. Could you explain a bit more how you took the speakers out and where the wire was that was disconnected? This black and white wire seems to be going into this black box. It feels secure, it's not loose. That wire then goes up into the ceiling and I don't know where it ends up.

The speakers were fastened to the underside of the corner lockers. There was a screw in each corner. Removing these the speakers dropped down. I realise not all speakers are the same.
Our first Transit based PVC had an amplifier fitted under the dash to boost the standard speakers. It was an original fitting by Ford because it was a Tourano mini bus base. I swapped the cassette player for a CD player. The wiring was no mach to the Ford wiring needing the help of an electrician to sort it for me.
The black box you have found could be some sort of an amplifier. From what I have seen so far motorhome wiring has no standard like car wiring. I think you will be unlikely to find a wiring diagram for the habitation area.
Sorry I can’t be any more helpful but good luck any way.
