I an looking at getting the bonnet spayed.Has anyone had this done.Or have a ball park figure as to what I expect to pay.Thought I would ask before finding local bodywork shop.

Might be cheaper if you can just take the bonnet there for spraying rather then have your van in the way for them or a spray booth big enough for the van

That's no problem. Just asking if anyone knows average price 👍

Wow, I was going to guess at £120-150 but I suppose it does depend on how much prep it requires etc.

depends on prep needed but about £200 retail price. If it were me, I would take the bonnet off, do all the repairs and prep, then have it painted. 2 coats with laquer on top for a good quality finish

Bodyshop I have used in the past, admittedly about 3 years ago, charged £175 a panel as a rough guide.

Try and find a small, independent commercial bodyshop they will probably be a lot cheaper than a car 1 and do just as good a job

Have you thought of locating a pre used but in good condition bonnet from a vehicle dismantler?

The other option is repair any chips, clean well and put a vinyl wrap on the bonnet

I have painted several Ducato bonnets as a mobile painter, they are never easy money as the rubbish Fiat paint can react when you apply primers and base coats.
What you might pay is influenced by many factors.
1/ The painters skill level
2/ The painters work load
3/ Geographical location
4/ Type of premises,
old barn on a farm, purpose built Bodyshop or
Mobile painter
5 / Do you want the applied paint blended into the wings to ensure against colour differences ?

So you could expect to pay anything from £125 from a guy in a barn with an empty diary to perhaps £800 plus vat in a premium Bodyshop.

Had my X250 Ducato bonnet done few years ago. Cost was £300.
Because of the crap job Fiat had made of painting it was flaking off in patches. I used a local professional car repairer and the guy told me the only satisfactory solution was to take the bonnet off, strip it completely back to base metal then prime, spray and "bake". That's why he had to charge so much, amount of labour required.
It's been fine ever since - but the workshop went bust..............................!

Sadly a familiar story, painters are often poor business people who undervalue their costs and skills.

Thanks for all the replies👍🏻.Food for thought.I have the fiat paint flake. No other damages. Its only a 8inch bit thats pealing but thinking getting a full bonnet spray as I have had the van from new and no intention of getting rid so may as well have it all done and hopefully will last a lifetime.
