Rallys, committee meetings, WTF

When I was at Lowdhams there was a field opposite me with all the same type of vans in parked up, I thought that was odd, anyway when I was pottering around some of the display vans outside the dealership I met an elderly lady who started to chat, she said her husband was in a committee meeting in the field, I said that's a strange place top have a meeting, she said oh we are members of the ******** owners club and they are discussing problem members, I am sorry but WT absolute F are these people on, do people not have better things to do than sit in fields talking nonsense, there wasn't even anything that resembled fun like Karaoke or keeping me awake, mind you from the looks of it I don't think they knew what fun was :D

If you ever see that I have joined such club please shoot me as I have lost the plot (y)

Listen I don't like people or all that committee nonsense, but I do fly a blue ensign ;)
 
committees do have an important place governing organisations and charities, and not all are filled with numpties discussing absolute dross. I have been co-opted onto a few that were in crisis over the years and helped guide them back onto the right path. On the whole, most people join committees to help their club or organisation and it is never their intention from the outset to get sucked into battles over personalities, but it happens.
a well run club will flow well with members rarely having to contact the committee

Oh no none of that on here !!
If someone is naughty they are sent to Coventry by the boss Jim
But no committee thank goodness!

We do have fun meets and rally’s and perhaps you could use your new van and join in next year!

I understand that but a committee for a bloody Motorhome, what the hell, people need to get out more and get a life

I hope it doesn’t get stolen or I will feel a right prick ?

I didn't want to name the Laika club rally so put stars there to keep it confidential, not my business to post where people are having secret meetings, all the top ****** owners would have known about it anyway ;)
 
Is there a committee on this forum and if so how do you get on the board, I would also like to be a life member and considered as forum moderator to sort out some of the occasional idiotic posts, there would be no nonsense on my watch, maybe it would help Jim out (y)
