If you just want somewhat functional and safe, then the big carpark behind Seafront Garage and Tesco Express by the ferry port in Goodwick fits the bill. No problems, nice and flat and a handful of motorhomes and HGVs all overnighting for the ferry. Some decent walks from there too.

Alternatively, this time of year you probably won't get a ticket parking in the carpark in Lower Town Fishguard which is a lovely spot, (but motorhomes are not really permitted to overnight). In summer the restrictions are much more vigorously enforced.

In Cardigan you could try the carpark behind Theatre Mwlden which is generally quiet at night.

There are lay-bys (some offset from the road) all along the A road between Cardigan and Fishguard so these also provide an option if you are desperate.

There are also a couple of Britstops between the two too.
