What is the precise error message you are seeing? Is there anything physically blocking it? When did it last work and what has potentially changed since then?

Problem with Oyster dish was up last night with no problem, was not windy, watched tv put dish down before going to bed. This morning tried to put dish up but box just saying INIT Y MOTOR BLOCKED INIT Y MOTOR ERROR. Can anyone help please.

Welcome to the fun. And welcome to the merry band of Oyster owners with faulty motors. Mine is an X-motor fault.

Can you confirm which motor is mentioned on the display. The X motor is the one which raise the dish. The Y-motor is the one which rotates the dish.

Either way, these motors are prone to failing. This is the second time my X-motor has failed. (under guarantee first time)

I inderstand that they can be replaced fairly easily, but before attempting it, I would also welcome comments from anybody who has done it.

Otherwise, we are off to the Oyster workshop again. They replace the motor in a few hours (by appointment)
