With the Poynting Puck 5 can someone give me some use cases on the wifi and GPS connections available with the puck5 vs just the puck 2 which does not have GPS connectors.

GPS assume if you have a receiver you could use it for vehicle tracking and passing it to the head unit for navigation if it has the mapping capability and external GPS connection.

What would the wifi connectors be used for as the mifi would broadcast wifi within the vehicle?

I asked myself similar questions, and after reading up on it, I chose the Puck 2, as I only wanted to access a data signal for the MiFi and 2 x phones, but if I had a fleet of vans for example, the Puck 5 would have been my choice.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

The GPS is just as you have said. The Wi-fi side of things brings in all local available Wi-fi signals for you to use (assuming you have a router suitable for distributing them). I use a Teltonika RUT955.
