SWMBO won't go anywhere without her Dyson Air-wrap which I believe is about 1300-1600W, not a problem when we are on EHU. However I would like to try wandering through Europe parking in places where EHU will not be available. I was looking into buying a power bank and noticed VTOMAN have a Jump2200 standalone for 569.00 and with a 220w solar panel for 779.00 of our English pounds. An ECOFlow Delta2 similar setup is 948.00
Anyone have experience of either and how long I am likely to get running the Dyson on it? (I will of course be running other stuff off it but as far as swmbo is concerned it's to dry her hair) :tounge:

Thanks everyone :thanks3:for responding, so much to ponder over. If we only keep the MH for 2-3 years before trading up then I am not sure I want to go into a complete rewire/lithium/inverter/solar setup, but then again if we get a new MH with all this installed then the Powerbank becomes redundant. As we are new to this we are discovering things every week that are on the wish list for the new MH so further thought needed on this. Long story short I guess we will be using sites with EHU until I can make my mind up!🤯

Well I bit the bullet and bought an eco flow delta 2 to take to France with me next week. Charged it up to 100% and then did a trial run with the wife drying her hair using the Dyson air-wrap this morning. Four and a half minutes drying time and less than 10% used so she's happy!

Brilliant, couldn't have worked out better. For me the decision is not about whether to have a power bank or not, it is about do you have the storage space, and room inside the van to use it, without it becoming a problem.

I agree, and the next van I will probably go down the LifePo / Inverter / B2B / Solar route and use the EcoFlow in the home / garden or sell it.

When on site we put the EcoFlow between the two captains seats. It’s unobtrusive there. When travelling it fits in the gap behind the drivers seat and the lounge bench seat. Again unobtrusive and can’t be a projectile on sudden braking etc.

The solar panel fits in a recess in the wardrobe with a strap fitted to hold it in place. Takes up no real space.

Interesting thread - I was planning on getting an ecoworthy lithium upgrade when the prices drop a bit, but the external units aren't a bad shout and a bit cheaper without having to get people to sort it, buy inverter, etc etc.

I did notice at Costco they do have an Anker with slightly bigger battery for the same price, my BiL has one in his VW camper and loves it. It's making me question the lithium upgrade https://www.costco.co.uk/Home-Impro...C1000X-Portable-Power-Station-1056Wh/p/492050

Keep looking at a powerbank to use as a home backup in the event of a powercut. Only really need it in the winter to keep the heating on and maybe power a TV. Still swaying towards a generator though.
