Swift Ace Genova 2005. 3 years
Hi,

I have a 2005 Swift Ace Genova. Had a new 3 way Dometic fridge installed back in September 2019 with no issues before this week. I have been preparing the van for a short break away at long last. However, I've noticed a smell of gas by the habitation door next to the fridge. The fridge has been running fine on electric to the house since last Sunday. All the gas is turned off on the van and has been since last summer. I've sprayed leak detector over all the joints on the pipework to no avail. Any ideas or comments would be greatly appreciated. An LPG registered mobile fitter in the South Wales area would be helpful too. Thanks in anticipation

I'd check the gas bottle connections.. ..sometimes smells 'travel'

If all the gas has been turned off for months are you sure it's gas you are smelling and not a battery cooking. Check to see if your batteries are hot if they are turn off the charger imedatly.

If you’re bottles are off then it’s unlikely too be LPG your smelling, maybe your central heating boiler
If you’re flue I close by.
