Getting Better
So, not having had any in the last five years ?

where’s the best place to put them in an A-class..?

The smoke detector up high on the ceiling, I’m ok with that one...

but the carbon monoxide one...? High or low....?

what’s the consensus.... ?

The instructions on mine, just going by memory, was that it should be at about head height when sleeping but not in a corner. Mine's on a side wall about 4ft from the gas hob, just above a seat back cushion.

Mine is in the bedroom area below a locker, they should be on a wall not up against the ceiling & not near a door. difficult to get the correct position in a Motorhome.

Mine is just below the head height of my son's lower bunk bed!!!!

Both my smoke and co2 detectors were factory fitted in 2018 on the ceiling just behind the driver a passenger seats. Should I be worried?

I would place my CO detector in a more prominent position if it wasn't for the really bright strobe light which keeps me awake at night and I can't cover up.

A little bit of blue-tack stuck over it sorts that..??

CO detector should not be fitted on the ceiling.

CO2 is carbon dioxide.:xgrin:

Our heater and fridge are either side of the hab door so there is a Co2 detector on the ceiling and a CO detector above the door about a foot down from the ceiling. We also have a CO detector in the bedroom. The bedroom can be closed off from the rest of the van so I thought it was sensible to fit one there. There are no limits on the amount of detectors you can fit.
