1st night in Portugal a nightmare at the moment. Got onto camping Fuseta about 3 today had some nice memories from 8 years ago omg what a change. Now in the 1st corner of the site as you come in. Disco music started at 8. Previouse to that some !!! Brit. Not going to go into detail started to drill his trailer hitch lock assembly. And thought it was acceptable to reply what’s the problem when I said how long you going to be doing that. I cannot wait to get off this place tomorrow. Never ever again be warned

Was it a funster and was he running a gennie ?
Not sure if a funster
yet didn’t want to go that close. Drilling out a large tow hitch from I reckon 12 mil to 15 or 16 mil ex fitter so recognise the sound. I am not paying 16 bucks a night to listen to that shit. Especially if he is only paying about 12 cos he’s long term. And cannot pay a local workshop to do do the job WTF

We left Portugal today after 3 1/2 months used one campsite and three paying aires, and then if you don't like it move. Bob

Just googled the site you are on, checked out pictures from their website, umpteen pictures of a wood clad old moho & pitches:eek:(n)
Not my cup of tea to say the least, empty your waste tanks, fill up with fresh and get out of there pretty damn quick.
Lesson learnt hopefully, thats why there are so many experienced FLT's on the road in Portugal, even a car park near the sea surely must be better than that site?
Good luck and enjoy Portugal.

As I said mate come here 8 years ago. Gobsmacked as how it’s gone downhill. And for some guy to do some major engineering work on the opposite pitch to think that was acceptable cannot believe it may as well park on a pissing industrial state !!!! Shush the music has just gone off hope it’s a power cut. Cos ime on gas ???

Let’s hope that in the future you don’t get the need to have to do some noisy work on your vehicle, either by you or a mechanic, on a campsite because you have broken down there. Not saying this is the case here, but maybe you should get yourself your best tipple and try and chill a bit. If the noise persists for too long, then move. It’s no good getting stressed about what other people are doing, life’s too short.????

Most campsites ask for peace and quite from 10pm. You said this persons was drilling before 8.p.m. when the disco music started. You did not say what time it stopped ? I agree with others, if your unhappy with noise generation before 10.pm or for that matter any noise at all, move on.

Cheers mate soon be gone
There again mate this a municipal Aire so who gives these long term th the right to think they own the place and do what they want. P/S the music is still off !!!!!

Did you not park out on the street and have a look around before deciding to stay ???

Good point! there seems to be adequate parking outside.

Music playing and someone doing repairs on his tow hitch.

What DISGRACEFUL behavour!

Better not visit Portugal folks if that is what happens here.

Definitely shouldn't go to that Fuseta site again as I bet they play music and fix tow hitches every day there.

Jeeeeeeez

Plenty of nice Aires in Portugal.
Try places like Parque de rio in Silves, run by two very nice guys who make sure everyone's happy.
Lots of free Aires too like Pomerao, Perero, Amexial, etc.
That's the great thing about motorhoming, if you don't like the scenery, you can move on.

Yes also been here before and with limited mobility gives great access to the amenities. But did not see the man with the drill on the opposite pitch till too late and that was my main gripe. If I said nothing it could of been grinders and spray paint today

I sold our last caravan over 3 years ago to a nice Frenchman who has it set up on that site.

A white Hymer near to the toilets, I towed it over from Ria Formosa for him and reversed onto his pitch for him with a very appreciative audience, best caravan that we ever had, sad to see it go.

We like Fuseta and visit several times every winter but the site is too crowded for us.

I am sorry but I can't quite understand why anyone should stop carrying out repairs because you don't like it...

Not a repair but a mod by the looks of it too tight to pay the local garage.

if you took you’re finger off the keyboard long enough and read the post. I didn’t tell him to stop I asked him how long he was going to be. Hi

iif you could read the post before tapping the keyboard you will see I did not ask him to stop. I asked him how long would he be. His response wasn’t an answer but why what’s the problem. If he would of said 5 minutes mate sorry about the noise then I would accepted that. By the way it’s a brand newish trailer that he’s obviously doing some mods on. If he was having a problem with I would be the 1st to help. A repair is necessary a mod is not

I cant quite see the difference between a mod and a repair if they both require the same amount of work. Also, if he was breaking camp site rules by doing this work why was he not stopped ! Perhaps because he was not. It never ceases to amaze me when when some people try to impose their standards on others and take offence when it fails.

Tad harsh about the finger and keyboard but anyway...

...asking how long he was going to be is practically the same as asking him to stop in my book.

Both of us can be thankful that we will never be parked near to each other...

(So sorry to bore you even more )
