Thank you for that.you said you were on a very friendly site ....can l ask which? No problems there. We stayed on a very friendly campsite at Portmadoc and went to Portmerien for the day.. open parking at Portmerien , no height barriers, they were even installing an aire there last May.
Thank you for the info,no we don't have a dog but totally agree with you that sometimes a good dog gets bad owners.similar situation with wild camping when the odd one will not leave a place nice and clean.Motorhome parking at Portmerion is fine - there's space for them in their top car park. If you have a dog, be aware that they no longer allow dogs into Portmerion because so many dog owners weren't picking up after their dogs, or didn't have them under control. A(nother) sad example of the selfish spoiling it for the many.
We stayed hereThank you for that.you said you were on a very friendly site ....can l ask which?
Okay thanks for that. It's always more re-assuring when you get ist hand info from a camper rather than a glossy magLast year Portmeirion we’re building a aire type campsite with pitches with EHU, should be finished by next year I would have thought. There’s a CMC site ( Coed Y Llwyn )just five miles away and the pub (Bryan arms) opposite the campsite is a Brit stop.
Thank you very much,we have got some nights in august at that very site so very much looking forward to that.we stayed on Anglesey last year at penn y llynn(hope the spelling is right).they are a lovely couple and can't do enough to make your stay perfect, that's why we're returning to that site again in August. We stayed here
Which was walkable into Portmadog and we also drove onto the sands at Black Rock one lovely evening.
We also stayed on the C&MHC site mentioned above which was nice but not coastal and be aware…. A very long walk to to the waterfall!
We were in North Wales from 2nd May last year. We also loved the gardens at Bodnant and all of the Snowdonia area. We stopped at Llanberis on the most beautiful clear blue sky day but were disappointed to find the Snowden train not yet running.
