Does anyone have a route/towns that will take in some of the Port houses in the Douro valley?

Google shows that they have outlets a plenty in Porto. HOWEVER, I did find the Rota Romanico which looks really interesting. Or as Baldrick might say, I have a cunning plan . . .

You will see all the huge signs as you drive up the Douro valley on the main road. I think it is best to spend a few days at Porto, visit all the outlets/warehouses there, sample the goods and then maybe drive up the valley stopping at one or two you like.
Our stop in Porto coincided with the annual festival, you have missed it for this year, but if you are planning for 2023. ?
