Started getting pop ups when using the forum, never had them before and haven’t changed anything.

Use safari on iPhone.

Same here, I have adblock, but it wasn't activated for the forum.. it is now and seems ok.

Jim in case you haven't spotted this thread (I thought it was about pop up shelters at first!) has anything changed that may have caused this & is there something we need to stop these please?

yes, has been happening to me too on ipad, quite a few times today, bit of a pain but if backspace or swipe page away and then come back to the thread find it's gone..
most ads seem to be for bras by the way, weird..

They are not being generated here. Pop ups like that are almost always browser infections. I would suggest immeditaly running Malwarebytes.

Absolutley not coming from here. They are designed to look like they are on sites you spend time on, but if you are infected they will appear on different sites you visit. This will remove them.

Jim this is a google generated pop-up I believe. Does the forum had an "Adsense" setting? Happened in my other forum.

No thanks, that is a possibility, I will check and see what ads have been served.

Would be a massive coincidence that it’s happening to lots of people on here and nowhere else for us all to have the same browser infection.

I have only seen them earlier today and on Chrome via my android phone.
Not seen them on my PC.
Since I posted earlier, been checking phone and not seen any since.
This morning, click a link and a pop up advert appeared that filled the whole screen. Had to hit the "X" to remove and see the post.

Wouldn't be a coincidence at all. Its happened a few times. If a bunch of you followed one link, or loaded the same malicious advert on a page somewhere then you could have infected browsers. That does not mean we are serving the malware.

The adsense lead is interesting though, because sometimes Google lets a dodgy ad through their system, I am going through those that have been served

I think I got it from clicking on Whats New tab, again it looked like a google localised advert.
