All those booked so far are on the first post of this thread - I'll start a new private chat group for us all next week so we can keep in touch once at Polmanter too & advise on any gatherings

For anyone thinking of booking last minute - their website is showing just a few Grass Multi-serviced pitches left for our Meet dates - please post here or message me for how to book with Fun discount then maybe give the Touring Park a call if you would prefer another option just in case they have any cancellations.

For the Monday-Friday of this Meet there will be a private, chargeable shuttle bus service from the Touring Park to St Ives town https://royalbuses.co.uk/bus-timetables-st-ives/bus-service-st-ives-to-polmanter-camp-site/ at £2.50 for a single or £4.70 for a return ticket. As this is a limited service at this time of year I was concerned that we should all be able to get on the bus but having emailed them they have said that if all 46 seats are taken they will call for an extra bus as they "never leave anyone behind" which is reassuring especially for the last trip of the day back up the hill

Summary of organised gatherings in the Stable Bar/Restaurant - all welcome but no obligation to attend:

Monday 22nd 4-6pm Fun Meet & Greet - bar open for hot & cold drinks
Friday 26th - reserved tables 7.30pm onwards Fun Social - bar open for hot & cold drinks
Sunday 28th - reserved tables 7.30pm onwards Fun Social - bar open for hot & cold drinks or book & come earlier for Sunday Roast with fellow Funsters at 6pm (don't forget to mention Motorhome Fun when booking to be sat as a group)

Do we not go to Reception and then to our Pitch or do we have to come to arrivals field first? Also reading the threads the meet up places seem to keep changing - can you tell me where and when we will be meeting? Thanks

Hi - this main thread was when the Meet was launched on the open forum to all Funsters, the first group chat was for those interested in booking & agree that was a little complicated but hopefully everyone got sorted with pitch of choice at the Fun discounted rate - that's inactive now. There is now a new private group chat for the duration of the Meet so we can all keep in touch as we are spread around the Touring Park so difficult otherwise - there's good free WiFi. Everyone has to park in the arrivals field & walk to register with Reception apart from Blue Badge holders for whom there is limited parking nearer to Reception. Please see post #129 above for
planned gatherings - the venue has always been the Stable Bar but we will be in the attached Restaurant area for all of these as it allows dogs which I know some will want to bring along. The time is all that as changed on Monday & it is now in the afternoon as the space has been hired for a private function in the evening so no longer available. Hope that helps & we look forward to meeting you.

Very lucky, after a period of wet and indies. We decided that rather than tearing around the countryside, we'd just sit outside and enjoy the sun. Not that we tear around these days anyway !

We can't wait to stay at Polmanter Touring Park https://www.polmanter.com/ this September & would love to have some fellow Funsters join us too! It'll be our first time staying there but it's award winning, has great facilities & excellent reviews so coupled with being within walking distance of fabulous St Ives we think it should be great.
The Park have kindly agreed to a £5 per night reduction on their normal rates as well as no extra charges for bringing along up to 2 dogs (saving an additional £27.50-£38.50 or more) for this Meet - this applies to 5, 6 or 7 night stays with starting date Monday 22 September making rates £26.50 per night for Electric Grass, £29 per night for Electric Hardstanding or Grass Multi-serviced, or £32.50 per night for Hard-standing Multi-serviced pitches after discount. No extra charges either for a tow car or attached awning but Quest Screenhouses or similar are not to be used.
UPDATE 30/3 - whilst the core meet dates are as above the discount code will also apply to a couple of days either side when booking online so long as 5 nights or more are booked plus for an extended stay it should be possible to arrange this by phone at the same discounted rate which should help those coming from other events. Booking will open as soon as the discount code is set up with everyone being able to choose the type & location of their pitch. There should be the opportunity for us to gather in the daytime (when no food or drink is served) in the Stable Bar & to have a reserved area in the Bar for drinks together in the evenings if wanted - of course as always there is no obligation to join in.
Whilst some may wish to relax on the Park or explore by car, it's a 30 minute 1.5 mile pleasant downhill walk into St Ives via a footpath at the back of the Park (to Steeple Lane) with the option of a taxi back (or weekday bus shuttle see below) if walking back up doesn't appeal at the end of the day. Once down in the town of St Ives there are lots of places to visit including the Tate Art Gallery (many free entry galleries too), Barbara Hepworth's Museum & Sculpture Garden in her former home, Leach Pottery, St Ives Museum, pleasant shopping in the historic cobbled streets with lots of tempting food & drink establishments, walk on the 7 beaches or just enjoy a coffee sat looking over the harbour or sea. We've explored St Ives many times & even in the depths of winter it has been enjoyable so hoping it's even better in September.
